“When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful.”

Tackling the abolition of modern-day slavery may seem like an impossible task, but with a few simple steps, you can get involved.

  1. If you see something, say something.
  2. Start a Conversation
  3. Spread the Word

If you see something, say something. If you see these or any other suspicious behaviors, you can anonymously report them to the National Human Trafficking Hotline (1-888-3737-888). You never know the life-saving consequences your actions could have, so don’t be afraid to speak up.

Start a Conversation. You don’t necessarily have to see human trafficking to speak up. So many of our societal norms lead to the conditions that allow for human trafficking: violence against women, toxic masculinity, pornographic advertising, the use of the term ‘child prostitute’ and sexualization of children, just to name a few. Societal change begins with the voices of the view, so don’t be afraid to start a conversation about healthy boundaries and respect for others with your friends, family, coworkers, and anyone else who might use these harmful tools.

Spread the Word. Social media is a powerful tool for connecting people and spreading information. Use your social media impact to make a difference! Share positive and informative messages about the reality of human trafficking and encourage your friends and followers to get involved! If you need help getting started, our social media outlets are linked at the bottom of the page, we post daily, so check us out!
